A special thanks to Patricia for organizing another group dinner at the Coney Island Bar. The food is always great and the company even better.
Now, for all you history buffs: How did the Coney Island Bar get its name?
Are you ready for the answer...
In June 1909, Otto Benschuetz open his version of the Coney Island Amusement Park, directly across from the location of the Coney Island Bar.
The present Coney Island Bar was built in 1927 as a tamale factory by Ralph Galletti and remains in the family today.
