On Saturday, June 13th, 2009 a group enjoyed beautiful Big Springs Gardens, just east of Sierra City, for a scrumptious barbecue. They walked around thirty acres of flowering gardens and hiking trails in a tranquil mountain setting just beneath the breathtaking Sierra Buttes. Unfortunately, this is the last year Big Springs Gardens will be open. Later in the day some made a short hike to Frazier Falls.
