Membership

Welcome.     The club’s membership year runs from December 1st thru November 30.  Current members can renew their membership beginning September 1st and prospective members can sign up for the upcoming year beginning September 1st as well.  Half price memberships may be offered to those who join the club between June 1st and September 1st.  Half price memberships will expire on November 30th of the same year you join.  Prospective members are welcome to attend any of our General meetings or TGIF’s to check us out.  There will always be a member of our Board at these events with newsletters, membership information and application forms.  Just look for the blue and white balloons.

WHATCHA WAITIN’ FOR?!?

Guess what? It’s time to renew your membership. You’re membership is good thru November 30 th so you might say ‘What’s the Rush?’. You don’t need to rush, but there’s really no need to wait either. You know how it is. You wait “just one more week”, and then, before you know it, you’re past due. If you renew now, you’ll have it out of the way, there will be no lapse in your newsletter delivery, you won’t lose track of all the good stuff going on, you’re contact information will be updated in the new club roster and your V.P. for Membership will be verrrie happy. So go on line and click on “Membership”, use that form in your newsletter, or pick up a form from me at a general meeting or a social and GET IT DONE. We don’t want to lose you for one second. And; you can join for two years if you like, and then you won’t even have to think about it for a long time. Can you HEAR me now?


WIN A FREE MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

This year the club will offer the member who brings the most new members into the club between September 1, 2008 and November 30, 2008 will win a free membership renewal for 2008/2009. The new membership form for 2008/2009 (included in this newsletter) has a line for the new member to write in the name of the current club member who referred him or her to the club. The only new members who will be counted for this competition will be those who sign up and pay membership dues between September 1 st and November 30 th, 2008. Renewing members cannot be counted. GOOD LUCK!

MEMBERSHIP NEWS

Half Price Membership: Effective June 1 st, membership fees were reduced to half price ($20.00) for the remainder of this membership year which expires November 30, 2008. So if you know someone who is interested in the club, you can let them know that they can join for half price from now through September 1 st. September 1 st will be the first day of sign-ups for the 2008/2009 membership year which begins December 1, 2008.

Multiple Year Membership Option: As we have the past two years, we will offer a two-year membership option. Any new member or any renewing member may pay membership fees for the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 membership years beginning September 1 st, 2008. This option reduces the amount of paperwork you have to process and will expedite the renewal process for members in the future.

 Benefits:  Benefits include access to all club sponsored activities and events (some are restricted to members only), a monthly newsletter, a membership roster to help you keep in touch with friends, a hotline to provide you the latest information about what’s going on, and an activities calendar that promises to keep you as busy as you like.

 Membership Options:  Both individual and joint memberships are available.  Joint memberships are for two or more persons who want to be listed in the club roster with the same address, and receive only one newsletter.

 Membership Fees:  Membership Fees for 2008/09 (9/1/08 – 11/30/09) are $40 for an individual membership and $60 for a joint membership. 

 Membership On Line:  Membership application on line is easy.  You can join instantly by using your credit or ATM card on the secured payment site of PayPal.  E-mail confirmation arrives in minutes.  Use either of the options highlighted below for on-screen data entry.  Even mail-in applications may be completed on-screen, and printed on your printer for submission by mail with your check.  You can expect confirmation of your application within a few days by e-mail from our V.P. Membership.
