The View From The Top

The first thing I must say in my first letter to the club is, "Thank you!".  Although none of us had any competition in the May elections, it was great to see so many members come out and support everyone running for a board position.  Without the support of membership, we would not succeed as a club.

Amazingly, it is July already. It is hard to believe that 2010 is half over, and summer is here.  I know it is partly due to all of the fun RSRC activities that the years seem to go by so quickly.  There is always something happening.  Remember to tell your friends about all the fun as we recruit new members.  Read your newsletter for the latest, like camping at Cromberg in August and Sunnyside day at Lake Tahoe in September.

I extend my appreciation to Gayle Sherman and Peter Callison for opening up their home for another wonderful Memorial Day party.  There was a great variety of food to enjoy and the band, Sweet Success, that we danced to in the back yard.  Even the weather was perfect for an outdoor celebration.

We start our outdoor General Meetings in July at the picnic pavilion located at Wildcreek Golf Course in Sparks.  Turn north on Sullivan off North McCarran, then right into the parking lot and drive to the north end of the parking lot.  Bring your own drinks and also a side dish or dessert to share, please.  The times are the same with the food and socializing starting at 6pm, and the meeting starts at 7pm.  Some golfers may want to come early and play before dinner.  I hope to see you there.
